I can’t think of a filmmaker, writer or project that I love more, just not together.

The hour has come! He has come! Who is beyond good and evil? Who is the Prophet of Anti-Life? Who is the Rock and the Chain and the Lightning? All powerful! All unforgiving! All conquering! Who is your New God now and forever?
Several of the books felt like nothing more than padding between two other books, too. The whole series could have been condensed a lot.
Agree with everything you said. Hopefully, the TV series cuts some of the more misogynistic aspects regarding the depiction of the Aes Sedai. Too often, the depiction of this powerful group of women infantilized them. I especially disliked the corporal punishment scenes -- icky on all levels.

A 6 week old fetus is about the size of a sweet pea. It is not a baby.
Yes! The one with Burt Reynolds as Mallory’s beau and Archer’s idol (#4 on your list) is my all-time favorite by far. I hope Burt Reynolds had as much fun with it as it looked like he was. That little chuckle!
“Lo Scandalo” (S2E8). The dead Prime Minister, the “accoutrements”, the eeeeelegant dinner party, Malory at her most stone-cold magnificent bitchiest... just a screamingly funny half-hour of TV.
S2E01 - Archer has his toiletries bag on his crotch and utters this out painfully
Well, DC- I’m sorry for all those things I said.
Wow. So— 3 for 3 then with Doom Patrol and Titans, all surprisingly awesome? I’m impressed as hell with this DC experiment with its own service. They may have stumbled at the cinemas, but they’ve yet to really fumble on TV. CW Legends of Tomorrow is pretty much my fav chill-out show, Supergirl & Flash are a damn good…
And every Terminator is a secret human.
Or every human now has a “good” Terminator guardian.
Looks great.
I haven’t bothered with any of the more recent Terminator films, but after seeing Mackenzie Davis in Black Mirror’s San Junipero … I’m in.
[edited cause I thought of more appropriate] So kinda seems obvious? Timeline is changed. If Sarah, “was” Reyes, maybe Reyes will be the mother of the next resistance leader/savior. Shall we call it, The Terminator Awakens? The Last Skynet? The Rise of Connor?
Agreed, highly underrated.
But what’s the difference between a villain and a super villain?
That’s fair. It doesn’t help that a lot of YA feels the need to make the real conflict a convoluted love story, often with very little regard for what the conflict of the book is supposed to be. As an adult, there’s often a hearty disconnect between how much I give a shit about whether protagonist A ends up with love…
One of the big milestones for the original Aladdin was that they were allowed to make modern pop culture references... pop culture references that have aged like a fine milk.
