itsacon’s recommendation, I mean, “The Tripods” by John Christopher. Great books!

Honestly this looks kind of cool! I know it’s been done before, but I remember reading the classic and one of the things that was so terrifying was how indesctructible the Tripods were; I think setting it during the period it was written heightens the sense of helplessness, as the humans are even more outmatched.

The best version of The War of the Worlds - “what if the Tripods won?”

Wow! I’d love a truly new fantasy adventure that’s not— *realizes that it’s Disney*

Who was he on Smallville!? I watched every episode of that show, own the first four seasons, and have already forgotten all of it...

Agreed. Jessica Alba worked well enough in her role when the script catered to her ability, but Eckles sparked on Dark Angel...and then... Sigh, season two was so disappointing.

Ex-cuse me, but Jensen Eckles was also on Dark Angel. That counts, right?

That’s a good lesson to learn! :)

RIGHT! Thank you. :)

al’Lan “HAWT DAMN!” Mandragoran!

Awesome! What’s that from? :

So excited for this show! I love the casting (it’s an adaptation-- pick the right actors for the characters!) and whoever is doing their Twitter nailed the promotional blurbs. Just, amazing.

It’s hard to find now! Continuum didn’t have a perfect finish (they had a truncated final season as the show was going to be cancelled, but at least the network allowed them to finish their story!) but it was an ending, and worth watching IMHO. Great character wraps for everyone, and some amazing fight scenes and

I never knew the backroom reasons why the show took such a dive in storytelling quality after season 2 or 3—I just remember being frustrate that the New Commonwealth weirdly stopped existing, and Andromeda just seemed to be wandering around doing nothing.... Too bad.

Farscape was so, so, so good.  That is all.

That... makes sense, and is a terrible shame, and man the first two seasons of that show were pretty great. And definitely complicated, but not that hard to follow!

Fringe had such gumption too! To actually commit to playing out whole seasons in alternative timelines... It blew my mind. I imagine the actor’s had such a great time too.

The first season was great though! Didn’t the lead meet and have some serious vibes with his gender-bent double in one timeline?

Anya! The best Scoobie. Sigh. Damn you Xander...!

Wasn’t Stargate Continuum one big time-travelling alternate reality disaster?
