Well, sure. I was merely discussing the subject of the article (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, not “why don’t we support female creators,” which is, yes, a genuine issue.) Regardless, I’m sure there are many showrunners that would enjoy working on Buffy whether or not it’s their “original” creation; after all, this is

Honestly, I’d be more interested in a Buffy reboot if Joss Whedon was NOT involved. Give one of the preeminent fantasy stories about a young woman over to a female writer and showrunner! (*gasp*)

And...I see you are right. Well, my Reading Comprehension is poor. That’s a relief!

Well, f**k. Damn it, why!? We don’t need to go backwards. Gleason (and to a lesser extent, Jurgens) have proved that you can write a compelling married Superman. This is progress. Exciting progress!

Ha! That was amazing.

I think it could work. You’re forgetting the emotional intensity and most of the drama of the plot will be “What’s going to happen to Duke Leto?” He’s a huge presence in the first third of Dune with his own P.O.V. chapters. His death and Paul’s escape are a big turning point for the book and could easily by the finale

I mean, isn’t that part of the point for that version of the Cheetah? It’s an EVIL deity, right? So it’s “punishing” her for no good reason. Which is evil. And should be kicked in the patriarchal pants! (Mind you, I’m NOT saying that’s the version they should go with.)

I really like Remus Lupin as the corrupting politician, he was a solid (if not inspiring) villain up to the last five minutes. Overall, I really didn’t mind him at all. Hopefully Cheetah will be better, though!

Starred for Linkara!

Illumination made one good movie (Despicable Me) and are now desperate to recapture the magic by...copying Despicable Me. Badly. With no soul, or taste, or sense of fun, or original vision. Sigh.

Once I saw that screeching little yellow Kinder Surprise of bile I knew this was going to be bad. Illumination is terrible.

Most of these ideas sound great! I’ll be checking out Batman: Damned and anything with Wonder Woman. Hopefully this won’t be overshadowed by Frank Miller...*reads comments* Never mind.

Comics are weird, man.

That could work too. There’s a lot of great characters that deserve a one-shot or two-shot, even if (in terms of sales, I mean) they can’t carry a series.

Damn! Why can’t his run be open-ended? This sounds amazing!

Good idea! I see you’re taking some flack for this concept, but Batgirl - like Batman and other ‘street’ heroes - are good with a little grit! It doesn’t need to be dark, but it could benefit from Bigelow’s film-making talent!

I think that’s the idea, for sure. I just, personally, don’t think it works. Not only does it not justify or excuse any bad behavior, it’s quite shallow and detracts from (my view) Bond as a consummate professional. I’d love a take on Bond where he seduces and kills people because it’s the JOB. He’s good at it, but

That would be an ideal situation. I enjoyed Casino Royal (and Quantum of Solace, to an extent) but Skyfall and Spectre just ran Craig’s tenture into the ground. Who cares about Bond’s family history!? Why is that even a thing!

When did James-Bloody-Bond become so gray and dull? They really need to stop aiming for grim and gritty. I enjoyed Cragi’s take on the character in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, but this is just...tired. He’s just spinning his wheels now, as are the producers apparently. Take a leaf from Mission: Impossible and

Oh, man, that is a terrible panel. Wow.
