You’re forgetting the emotional intensity and most of the drama of the plot will be “What’s going to happen to Duke Leto?” He’s a huge presence in the first third of Dune with his own P.O.V. chapters. His death and Paul’s escape are a big turning point for the book and could easily by the finale…

I really like Remus Lupin as the corrupting politician, he was a solid (if not inspiring) villain up to the last five minutes. Overall, I really didn’t mind him at all. Hopefully Cheetah will be better, though!

Illumination made one good movie (Despicable Me) and are now desperate to recapture the magic by...copying Despicable Me. Badly. With no soul, or taste, or sense of fun, or original vision. Sigh.

Once I saw that screeching little yellow Kinder Surprise of bile I knew this was going to be bad. Illumination is terrible.

Most of these ideas sound great! I’ll be checking out Batman: Damned and anything with Wonder Woman. Hopefully this won’t be overshadowed by Frank Miller...*reads comments* Never mind.

Good idea! I see you’re taking some flack for this concept, but Batgirl - like Batman and other ‘street’ heroes - are good with a little grit! It doesn’t need to be dark, but it could benefit from Bigelow’s film-making talent!

I think that’s the idea, for sure. I just, personally, don’t think it works. Not only does it not justify or excuse any bad behavior, it’s quite shallow and detracts from (my view) Bond as a consummate professional. I’d love a take on Bond where he seduces and kills people because it’s the JOB. He’s good at it, but…

That would be an ideal situation. I enjoyed Casino Royal (and Quantum of Solace, to an extent) but Skyfall and Spectre just ran Craig’s tenture into the ground. Who cares about Bond’s family history!? Why is that even a thing!
