You know that replicants aren’t machines, don’t you?

It doesn’t look out of place among Aliens and Fury Road on the list of best belated SF sequels of all time.
I actually like the term “elevated horror”. There are many examples of clever/artistic/innovative pre-millennial horror films, but most have flaws that need disregarding. Recent high-quality horror includes a much higher percentage that can be enjoyed without qualifications: clever/artistic/innovative AND well-acted…
It was a pretty bad book too, as I recall. (I haven’t read any other Grisham so I have no idea how it compares)
I don’t really care about the cast, it’s just a wildly overrated movie. I didn’t actually finish watching it, actually, so perhaps I missed an inexplicably great ending...
Agreed. They should wait until he’s at least 90.
I know I saw this, but the only thing I remember is some flying space squids. I think? Definitely not one of my favorite Popcorn Champs.
I’ve always wondered how “shiny legs” happened. Hat tip.

I am confident that there are many people who - like us - don’t hate Hillary Clinton.
Turning FPKK into a good series would be challenging. I hope Norman Reedus has some talented friends, because all he brings to this project is enthusiasm.
They don’t show many SIGNS of aging but their lifespan is about 32 years (says Wikipedia). So... it’s like a human having babies at 100, not 300.
You’re Next was terrific, but IMO some gallows humor doesn’t make it a “horror comedy”. It has been a few years, but as I recall it balanced action, horror, and comedy roughly the way that Aliens did.
I did not care for this one. Yes, the plot was hard to follow, but I was more annoyed by the way almost every character made nothing but foolish decisions. I don’t plan to watch it again, but if I ever do I’d be cheering for “team Demon” the whole time.
Uh, Biomutant? Is there any other kind of mutant?
A R&M spinoff could be fun, but... yet another superhero show? That’s the best idea they could come up with?
Exactly. We’ve been using the singular they for a very long time, in cases where the gender is either unclear or being deliberately withheld. I don’t see a problem.
Nonsense (Perception of reversed cause and effect... something something - Tenet)
This was pretty fun. As noted by Katie it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, but... giallo. I was a bit irked that it’s not even *possible* to understand what’s happening until about three quarters of the way through, though.
What autoplay video?
Yup. He’s right this time.
