Previous increases (of shorter generations) were 8*, that would put the next gen at 4gb (assuming unified).

The Team Fortress guys Robin, John and Ian were hired, they made TFC as employees of valve.

My pet theory is it was a combination of valve time and the Battlefield and Enemy Territory series (themselves partly inspired by TF1) being similar that made them step back and reconsider.

The Puu.

I don't think so.

The article is satire.

At any point the primary mission will require one of those classes to progress, so you're not just planting a bomb, you're planting a bomb while the entire enemy team is trying to kill you.

This is the companies first in-house multiplatform game, previously being a PC only developer.

With the body types seperated from class you can now have a 'heavy medic' or 'scout engineer' or more acurately any combination of heavy, medium, light body-type with soldier, medic, eng, operative. (Though body type is per character and I don't think that's changable in-match).

The cut-off of support was due to the publiher Activision, Splash Damage did the last patch on their own dime from what I understand.

The vehicle moves along a path whenever anyone from the team is near it. Explosives from the enemy damage it. If it's damaged enough it won't move. Engineers can repair it.

@visualdeity: If you got time to spare - pretty much everything known:

@leGodt: The main point of virtual texturing (the more accurate term) is being able to uniquely texture the whole game.

@a.seivewright: I think you're on to something (though I may be interpreting your intention wrong)

@Heratiki: They aren't dying, they are incapictated. While down team medics can revive them, and enemy operatives can 'interrogate' them.

@sabrage: I suppose TF2 is a good enough example to discuss the Brink system from, given that the earlier Enemy Territory line classes were somewhat inspired by them (or rather all the tf mods, since tf2 was still years away).

@Spaceboy: It's mostly an evolution of Enemy Territory - their previous games. Which is team, class, objective based.

Possibly it's just and illustrative shot and not the actual cable length.
