I, just like any other man, was simply conditioned by society to consider these experiences as normal - or unpleasant at worst - and shrug them off.

Spacey will probably move to Eastern Europe and busy himself chasing after young men. They can’t take that away from him!

I prefer Norm Macdonald’s theory that Walter White died in the car, surrounded by police, the rest was just fantasy.

Puppy is adorable, but seems less sincerely attached to Hiddleston than Taylor Swift was. I’m afraid Taffy Brodesser-Akner’s next conversation with Tom will involve turning off the recorder to discuss the pain he felt when puppy ran away.

IIRC, the producer was a separate incident that happened when Haim was 11, well before Lucas.

In KCMO, it’s equally divided between Jesus, Gambling, and Tech N9ne’s next album.

Suggesting that every guy looking at twink porn is potentially interested in having sex with a 13 year old is... not good. The models are just scrawny guys, 18-24. I winced the first time I saw a still from Helix Studios, because they look so damn young, so I get Richards’ response. But they also look like most of the

What is it meant to prove?

I believe Sheen raped Haim, but that tweet is *problematic.*

He’s a giver.

Pretty sure you’re projecting the mean girl ethos onto me. Just as you’re projecting it onto everyone else who dares express a negative opinion about things you like. All I said was people can genuinely not care for certain pop culture acts, it doesn’t have to be posturing about coolness.

Ok, I really don’t get this. Why do you see others’ expression of opinion as “gimmicky” and “lazy hate for clicks” and simultaneously get super defensive about your own right to express your opinion... to me, the person who said we all get cranky about certain pop culture things and it’s not a big deal?

What I’m asking is — do you have a hard time believing they make fun of these subjects because they just don’t like them and the subjects are high profile? That they’re not being contrary to signal cool as much as calling out to others who wonder “wtf?”

I say this as a middle-aged but not particularly mature person...

That’s just a studio?

being shades as just another self involved white feminist gripe

If the poster had framed it like that, I would not have commented. They didn’t say they simply wanted more nonwhite people stories distributed in the US, or made locally. They suggested that big US studio polish, craftsmanship and marketing budgets are superior to foreign products (and, implicitly, domestic indies).

I’d say defining stranger-approaching-stranger as inherently predatory is wrong. I mean, maybe where you live? But where I live, strangers chat each other up all the time. Sometimes guys will ask me out, and they’re not trying to harass or threaten me, they’re quite sincerely trying to get laid. I find that harmless.

That video was peak white feminism being blind to racial issues. But I think it’s confusing the issue of appropriate workplace behavior to introduce it here. I’ve got no problem with guys chatting me up at the bus stop, but I would think a guy was a dick for asking me out on a date in the middle of a business meeting.

Ooooh, tell me about your class. Who do you teach about?
