Yeah, that whole bounty hunter thing was over in less than twenty minutes. That seems like something that could be spread out over a few episodes, and could've been a real surprise.

Even when she's moping, her face is as placid as, um, lake placid? She's not a bad actress, i guess, and she has a presence on screen, she just doesn't seem to have much range. But it's still early, she could definitely improve. At least she's not annoying, like the brother might turn out to be. What are the odds

I didn't recognise him during the episode, but now that you mention it, it must've been, 'cause i now remember that i did see his name in the opening credits

Never really cared for Esposito (too slimy/smarmy on Homicide), but he's ok in this, as is everyone else (Elizabeth Mitchell's always great). There were problems, as others have pointed out, but i kinda liked it, and am looking forward to more episodes. And the teen-ager didn't annoy me at all, which is a miracle

I just watched The Mist tonight, and it depicted a complete societal breakdown (in microcosm) in a little under 24 hours. It was pretty good.

To me, Tom Baker episodes are like pizza… even the bad ones are good. While i agree that all the classics mentioned are obviously head and shoulders above the rest, i never dread episodes like The Creature from the Pit, Meglos, Underworld, or The Android Invasion. I love 'em all. The only other show i can think of
