To me, Tom Baker episodes are like pizza… even the bad ones are good. While i agree that all the classics mentioned are obviously head and shoulders above the rest, i never dread episodes like The Creature from the Pit, Meglos, Underworld, or The Android Invasion. I love 'em all. The only other show i can think of

In the early eighties, we had two pbs stations— one "real" one, and one affiliated with the local state college. The real one would show them all strung together on Sunday nights, and the college station would show individual episodes week-day afternoons. I always preferred the longer, Sunday night ones. it's just one of those things where he rubs me the wrong way. it's usually not a problem, 'cause i can easily avoid, or am not interested in, the stuff that he's in (crystal skull, suburbia, transformers). it's only a problem when he's the only bad thing in something i would probably like, like this. it doesn't

Shia Labuf is on that shortlist of actors, which includes Tom Cruis, Jamie Fox, and Wil Smith, whose movies i will never see. Should i make an exception for this one? I don't want to (taking a stand and sticking to it is one of the most important, and fun, parts of life), though i enjoyed The Proposition quite a lot.

My dad had a Nic Cage vibe back in the seventies, but ever since prematurely greying and growing a beard in the eighties, he's had a definite Kenny Rogers vibe.
