the letter U and the numeral 2.

the classic album series did one on the joshua tree.  it's more like what mr. hyden was talking about— focusing on the stories behind the songs.  and they tackle pretty much all of the songs, if memory serves.  it has the usual bono stuff, but brian eno and the edge have some good stories, and the edge breaking down

most awkward watching of a movie with relatives ever: the entity with my sister at my grandparents when i was 14 and she was 11.  my grandpa had the remote and just WOULD NOT CHANGE THE CHANNEL!

just squint and enjoy!

i think you mean "yentl style".

every time her character is mentioned, i see it first as "malady".

even though i don't remember too much about it, i do remember liking 'jack and bobby'.  maybe a little too dawson's creek-y, but it had a good cast (esp. christine lotti), and the talking heads really worked (for once).

or is it inflammable???

i could tolerate a "whitney" dose of milla in a corset.

yeah, i saw this ad several times before i realized that it was her.

a girlfriend put some of those songs on a mix tape she gave me.  i think i bought the cd at one point 'cause a couple of the songs are on my computer.  they're not bad— what you'd probably expect from 90's folk/pop.  very nostalgic for me.  this particular girlfriend.. i was very fond of her.  sometimes i really miss

thanks!  i just looove that whole thing.

what he said.  loved the muppets but never liked miss piggy. maybe that's why i was never crazy about the movies, even as a kid— too piggy-centric.

there's a difference between legally determined share as manipulated by teams of lawyers and accountants, and fair share.

it's not that i don't like it— i don't have any feelings one way or another.  even as a kid i wasn't crazy about the muppet movies, even though i liked the show, and sesame street (i've never seen take manhattan, for instance).  i was just wondering about segal's involvement is all.  like i said, seems odd…

not to get too political, but the wealth disparity argument isn't about the wealthy having more money, it's about the wealthy, and their corporations, paying their fair share in taxes.

when did jason segal get the hollywood cache to take over the muppets?  did i miss something?   i mean, i loved freaks and geeks as much as anyone, and sarah marshall was o.k. i guess (let's not talk about h.i.m.y.m.).  but the muppets?  and he's the (human) star?  seems odd to me.

crystal skull might be worse than temple of doom (which i cannot stand— i only love the original, last crusade is so-so), but i stopped watching (at my family's thanksgiving dinner where i usually love watching these types of movies) when indiana jones survived a nuclear blast by hiding inside of a refrigerator (and

also, the commercial break, with the tape recorder music, the bag of chips, and the diet coke.  too funny.
