Halo still means something, and I would argue a supercar has to be a halo car. The Carrera GT was a halo car; a GT3RS clubsport is not. The Senna, Elva, and Speedtail all have legit claims as halo cars for Mclaren. I’m not sure anyone else has 3 aside from Bugatti but who can tell what they’re doing week to week

Mines is too and I had about the same number of pulls. It dropped about 8-10 points because of the mortgage shopping process. Go pull your own FICO score (which doesn’t count as a hard pull if it’s for your own reference, but they can’t use your own report for a finance transaction) and I bet the end of your report

...are you serious? I’ve seen my score get affected after rate shopping for too long, and in the reasons for credit score it says right on the report “too many credit inquiries in last 3 (or 4?) months.” I’ve taken several mortgages, and earlier reports don’t say that, and later reports do. The pattern is pretty

I’m only referring to hard pulls. Your first hard pull does not drop your credit score according to any lender I’ve talked to, and has since been backed up by me pulling a FICO before and after applying through them. I had a brief credit dip when I had 4 hard pulls through the same lender - an initial and final for

Bingo. If you have good credit and a dealer won’t talk to you without a credit app, find a different dealer.

This is not correct. I was applying for a mortgage and had the brokers I was using explain to me what does and does not drop a credit score. Their explanation was you’re generally allowed pulls from 3 different institutions, and each is allowed to do 2 pulls (a preliminary and a final). If you get 5 pulls from 5

Fair enough

I’m not about to defend private railways, but Amtrak barely owns any right of way yet the federal government still bullies everyone else like it’s a privilege to have all their operations disrupted by Amtrak’s dilapidated shit heaps. If I saw an opening to give Amtrak the boot I would take it in a heartbeat too.

They’re not the ringleaders, they’re the elephants.

A million bucks a year is pretty steep but if I had 23 weeks a year as a ringleader in the international traveling circus I sure wouldn’t want to schlep it in coach

Seiko’s spring drive movement is cooler than anything the Swiss have ever made short of tourbillons

Interesting idea

The last STI’s were 310hp 2.5L I4's that struggled to get 20 combined. Meanwhile Audi is out here with a 306hp 2.0L I4 S3 shooting for 30. The STI has been a joke of engineering for the better part of a decade now. All sizzle no steak. I have no doubt whatever the EPA rates the GR Corolla at will embarrass Subaru.

Most used car warranties aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on. Some of them say they will only honor claims if the current owner can document that all manufacturer recommended maintenance was done by the PREVIOUS owners. Good luck with that. Or if the maintenance interval is 15,000, and the service was done at

What’s crazy is both the R tronic and S tronic gearboxes were options, meaning you had to pay more for them over a gated 6.

The first R8 was great. It was a GT that fringed on supercar and started at $100k when F430's were double that and 612's were both almost triple the price and slower. It was like the i8 where its styling with the sideblades looked like it traveled back in time. And in the bang-for-the-buck category there was nothing

Yeah it might have been before the general sale and people had corporate tickets or something. It was a while ago I saw them on stub hub. Like last October or so.

Geez. I looked last year and they were 700-800 or so. Figured they were headed the other direction.

CP. Ford era cars are beyond fickle about everything and it all breaks. It has an intermittent power window issue? It could be the switch or maybe it’s the instrument cluster. Intermittent misfire could be one of like 60 things. I’m a decent backyard mechanic and ended up with a jag by accident and I just absolutely

CP because of the aftermarket work, questionable dash, and generally dirty presentation (at least shake out the weathertechs). $10k is probably market. If this was stock and the dash was sorted, it might be $15k. Might be more.
