The point is that Trump said specifically about a child that he was going to date her in 10 years, and we can be reasonably sure he didn’t mean go out to a movie and get a burger.

I think the bigger concern in this case is that the whackjobs are actually fans of Trump. They may have not liked Obama, but they didn’t really care for Romney/Boehner/McConnell either. Now they think they have a hero to rally around, and one who apparently eggs them on.

I still think the correct answer, even though it won’t work 100% of the time, is break as quickly as possible without swerving. That standard is the one that most reduces the guesswork that all involved parties will have to do about where the car is going.
