I'm part of the left and I don't understand it either.
Even Mick Foley as Mankind could muster up a white button-up shirt and a tie. And look at the respect he gets!
Damn, and I just read he signed on to voice Deathstroke in the DC animated adaptation of The Judas Contract.
A fucking elbow drop would take out anyone, much like hogan's leg drop, and I god damn loved it.
I think if you grew up watching him wrestle it helps out. I can't claim I love everything he does in movies/tv but he plays to his strengths and for the most part I enjoy his movies. Plus he seems like a pretty decent guy behind the scenes. He's no Keanu Reeves but who is?

Kind of like the way Iron Fist kind of dropped off after Brubaker and Fraction and Aja left.
You live in a beautiful fantasy world
To be fair, him failing so spectacularly led to the whole Dark Reign era and I personally loved that, even if it rushed to a finish with Siege.
Remember when Bendis tried to bring back thought bubbles in Mighty Avengers?
