So in your mind, the choice is investing in gun companies or investing in companies that lose money? Because there are hundreds of other companies in countless other industries that make plenty of money.

Some of us would rather not support that industry.

So the bottom line of that rant is that you don’t want people to have a choice in what they invest in. What a fine, upstanding, freedom-loving person you are.

We made a campaign out of calling his dad a wimp when he was in office. Softer (a lot softer) language, same sentiment.

People on our side were plenty disrespectful of Bush, both before 9/11 and in the last several years of his presidency. According to the calendar up there, that’s true. There was one 8-day period in April without a mass shooting. In no other month did we have a week-long stretch without one. Very doesn’t need to go away, it just needs to be used a little more sparingly. Is it ever strictly required? No, not really. But every word serves a purpose and while ‘very’ may be redundant or unnecessary, it can still be used to drive a point if used well.
