Four years ago, when I started dialysis, I was on MedicAid during the first month, before MediCare kicked in. The clinic started a prescription for Lidocaine/Prilocain cream, which costs about $40, but in NY, MedicAid requires you to pay a $1 co-pay. This was billed to my house; a $.48 stamp and an envelope for a $1

Franz Liszt? Never hoid of the guy!

If you are observant, yes, you would. Although in this case, I’d say that the 3 or 4 guys on the street yelling at you should’ve told you at least that much. No, I have the feeling that, being yelled at by a bunch of brown-skinned guys, he panicked, and was just trying to get out of there and back to Alabama as

OK, that’s just plain dumb. The 5th wheel is on the tractor, not the trailer. I’d bet if I walked you over to a tractor trailer, you couldn’t tell the difference between a fifth wheel and a slack adjuster. Also, not, it didn’t pull the car into the intersection. There is a car parked behind it, so it was not pulled

Well, 2 ways:

The car is parked across a crosswalk. Look at the video.

Full disclosure; I have driven a 53' trailer into Manhattan (as well a Brooklyn and the Bronx) on several occasions, without incident.

FWIW, that’s a rental truck. As long as it doesn’t have air brakes and the laden weight is kept below 26,000 lbs.,any idiot with a car license can drive it.

Zastava=Yugo, so, yes.

The NHTSA has something called the “Bridge-Weight Formula”. For a quick explanation, it allows you to carry more weight if you spread it out over a longer distance.

Good old Michigan 11 axle monsters. They allow a max weight of 174,000 pounds that way. No wonder their roads suck......

It’s axLE, unless you are talking about the lead singer of Guns and Roses....

Most western states allow longer rigs. This setup would not be legal in NY.

I voted CP just because it’s so damn ugly!

I think I recognize that actual location near where I grew up in Penfield, NY; the house at the corner disappeared in the late 70's, and the Carrols became a Burger King in the mid 70's, but the parking layout is still the same.

I was lined up behind a Dodge minivan at a wholesale club gas pump once about 10 years ago. Guy fills his tank, then opens up the back hatch. Inside was a 55 gallon plastic barrel, held against the back  seat with a single bungee cord. Not only was this as unsafe as hell, but I was damned if I was going to wait for

I’m confused....the Model T was a car, but you used the term “truck”. Was it converted into a truck, or was it always a truck, which would make it actually a Model TT?

I rarely use “ride share” apps, but due to the negative press Uber got a couple of years ago I decided to only use Lyft, thinking it was just slightly fairer. Looks like I need to reconsider this...

Yes, especially since I-15 runs right through it......

I saw it some 25+ years ago. It was phenomenal!
