That's what happened a few years back with my Taco/Tundra shopping. I went to look at a Double Cab Taco, and drove home in a CrewMax Tundra. Out the door price on the Tundra was cheaper, they wouldn't deal much on the Taco, put just kept piling on incentives on the Tundra.

There are 3 high school aged kids in my neighborhood with tCs. All are new, and my guess would be that their parents purchased the vehicles for them. That would also skew the average ago of a Scion purchaser. Not saying it's the norm, though.

Yes. With my trade, there ended up being no tax. Rebates at the time were $3500. I got another $1k for a lease conquest. So that $4500 before we even talked any other numbers. ST1 is around $24500, or something right around there.

My ST1 was $19,700 out the door (not counting trade equity). ST3s in the 24/25k range. Those are advertised prices prior to negotiating. At least that's the market for them in Denver.

Good deals on either car right now. I went with the Focus for the extra space and good price.
