I'm totally going to deliberately misinterpret your comment; I do dress nicely, always. So yes,I AM the change I wish to see. You don't exactly dress "at" someone, but at the same time your appearance does speak volumes about how you see yourself and others. Are there exceptions to this? Of course, we're humans after…

I don't change how I treat people based on their clothes; I have enough kindness, consideration and awareness to realize I can't possibly know what anyone's story is. I never advocated that anyone treat anyone else badly because of their appearance. But I'm also pragmatic, and realize that people DO judge based on appearance. It's part of the real world we live in. Unfortunate? Yes. Decidedly un-idealistic? You bet. But it's what happens.
