I have no idea why, but this just made me laugh out loud. Have all the stars.
THANK YOU. I live in OKC as well... and this is just plain frightening. Have all the stars for this.
Agreed. I love RBG and want her to remain on the bench forever, but I really wish that she would have stepped down and retired the moment Obama won his second term. That would have ensured her seat and the GOP (hopefully?) wouldn’t have pulled the “we’re in the middle of an election... let the next President and the…
Yes, except not everyone in those areas voted for Trump. I’m in Oklahoma. I hate Trump. I sincerely home that my home (on which the mortgage will increase soon because YAY FHA loans! Thanks, Trump!) will not be wiped out once tornado season begins.
Oklahoma? I’m in!
This literally goes through my head every time I watch Wheel of Fortune. Thank you for this.
Also an Oklahoman. I used to work for our state government... and this is quite possibly the WORST possible choice...
This is so gross. Also, this billboard is up right near the area where Holtzclaw would find his victims. (I-44 and Kelley for those familiar with OKC).
My parents haven’t resorted to going to Ecuador, but I have no doubt they’ll have some plan to “escape Hillary”. My parents are also both enthusiastic Trump supporters... and it angers me. I also live in a different state from my parents, and they never come visit me. They do, however, love going on cruises. But…
That’s fair and I understand that point.
I don’t necessarily agree that this is an apples-and-oranges comparison. He was working as a law enforcement officer. Yes, he was a volunteer deputy, but that doesn’t change the fact that he was still working as law enforcement (paid or not), and shot and killed an unarmed black man.
I’m not saying that his sentence was long enough, or that I agreed with his sentencing. I’m sure he’s appealing and will try to have it overturned.
Agreed. But at the end of the day, they were both charged. He was convicted. At least they have both been held accountable for their actions.
I’ve replied in a comment, but I feel like it should be stated again. She wasn’t charged because she was a woman. She isn’t the first law enforcement officer in Oklahoma to be charged when it comes to killing an unarmed black man. Perhaps everybody is forgetting (or unaware of) Robert Bates and his recent conviction.…
Robert Bates was just convicted in Tulsa County. He was a white male. She wasn’t “sacrificed”. She shot and killed him. As did Robert Bates.
Speaking as an Oklahoman... we don’t want him. We have enough problems as it is in this state.
