A 250 mile range for us would work great, but we’d still have our hauler SUV for when we get out of town.  I think a 250 mile range makes sense for feeling that range anxiety, though.  Especially if you dont charge at home and arent leaving the house with that full charge every day.

I didnt realize until just now that Lucid prices for their Air starts under 70k.  Still too much for me, but I like seeing the prices on these cars dropping.

It might just end great! With less Cybertrucks on the roads.

This has to be the dumbest thing I’ve heard all year.  I hope it all wraps up before the 2024 Darwin awards show.

Yup.  From what I read, the go kart track was not permitted and that dad is threatening, I guess, to put in a helicopter pad if the track is removed?  It all sounds like a root-for-no-one type situation.

They both have petitions out now and who do you think is going to look better here? Id bet the “guy that built a go-kart track for his son” petition wins big.

A Change.org petition in this case seems hugely laughable.  This is a private matter.  Deal with it yourselves.

See, now I think you’re just trying to mess with me!  A turn signal??  Must be going straight.

Looks like the poll is as torn as I am on this one.  I loved the Xterras when they first came out.  Still looks like a great car and in great condition, but probably a little too close to 10k for me.

Its a stereotype that they ALL lean into super hard to the point that I fully plan on them driving like dicks and am surprised to shocked when I even see a turn signal used.

Gotta be a reason theres so many on the road long enough to look like theyre held together with spit, dental floss, and prayers.

Cite/arrest, tow/crush, and move on.

Thats just crazy enough to work!

So, I have a Ford Escape Hybrid from 2009 and it has 245k miles on it. From 2009 to 2020 when 220k of the 240k miles were put on it and I was getting consistently 30mpg. Then COVID brought that vehicle use to damn near nothing and that minimal use dropped the battery functionality pretty hard, both more rapid

I’ve never seen a story with so much “yeah that makes sense” to it.  Altima?  Check.  Cybertruck failing a basic function?  Check.

I am very excited about what lease turn-ins will be available in 2-3 years when my oldest car will likely ready to go and it will be EV time.

What EVs have you seen that have a longevity issue?  Honest question since I have not heard about this even being a thing outside first/early gen Leafs which used hugely outdated tech compared to todays offerings.

First I heard of this my exact response was “Oasis?  Really?” and then immediately stopped caring.

Jesus, thats a good deal.  How many miles and years?

This is the first time I am hearing that anyone views EV as “more disposable” than an ICE car. Frankly, that sounds ridiculous.
