I’ll watch Season 2 if it ever comes out, but Season 1 was definitely as popular as it was because after 1.5 years of COVID, people watched ANYTHING new.

I’m not entirely sure. Japan as a setting just felt like it had the energy and quirkiness to match James May more than India did. It just didnt grab me in a way Japan did.  After the first episode I went “meh” and found something else.  Japan was great though, and James May does generally put out great content.
