That auto loan IS the family emergency!

Only time I ever had a non-fixed rate loan was through the COVID years on my student loans because the rate just kept dropping. And why pay that back faster when the rate at its lowest was 1.3%? That jumped to over 7% and I said F it and bit the bullet and paid it off. I spent way too much time worrying about jumping

Wife and I do fairly well even for Southern California.  I hate that our car payment is 400.  I wouldnt ever even consider 500, much less 800 as a monthly payment.

This. Isnt. Being. Sold. Country. Wide. Lol. Not sure how you arent piecing this together unless its willful ignorance.

I definitely like the Ioniq 5 a lot. I test drove it a year or so ago? The inside felt a little sterile and empty, I guess? Thats not why I didnt buy it though. I was treated like I had a 500 credit score and the dealership customer service was appalling.

Thats why they arent selling to the rest of the country, outside the Western region.  Jesus!

Those cars were the most budget level options.  For some dumb reason they cheaped out there.  None of their newer options have those issues.  Not that the mishap will ever not be amusing though.

These will sell before they hit the lot, like all other EVs in San Diego.

Maybe, but probably more so that this region is more accepting of the tech as well as being the perfect climate for it. Like, if all costs were the same to get it to upstate NY, you wouldnt offer a diminished package like this since the cold weather will decrease the range.

Thats true, it is a tough sell, but a lot of people want something other than a Tesla.  It would be a very tough call for me though, for exactly what you stated.

Perfectly sufficient for many, many, many people. Not you, apparently, and thats totally fine.

EVs are routinely sold before they hit the lot in San Diego.  So no, EV buyers are not waiting for matching capabilities and price.

Thats why they arent targeting this for a place that has to deal with that.  They intelligently know that this configuration is perfect for the western market.  Namely Southwestern.

Its perfect.  Gimmie.

We’ve had four Saabs and still have our ‘91 9000 Turbo.  I love Saabs and wish they came back.  Such cool cars.

We still have our ‘91 9000 Turbo in red.  I sure love that car.

Sounded to me like they wisely cashed in their chips.

So many dealerships havent even adapted to the fucking INTERNET yet!  I hope they all burn.

Get rid of EV mandates as soon as they stop subsidizing gasoline.

Hear, hear!
