I cant think of a single time that an ad has lead me to make a purchase. Hell, most of the time I see ads for the thing I just researched on my own and have already bought. If anything, ads become a deterrent, especially if the ad is particularly invasive.

What youre looking for to replicate that is... YouTubeTV. But now you have no contracts, no bullshit fees for an energy sucking monster of a box sitting by your TV, you can watch from your phone, you can split the membership among multiple houses...

Yup.  I would never deal with an owner that isnt upfront about repairs and sells “as-is”.  I’m more than happy to lose out on a house than walk into potential financial doom.
