I just paid off the remainder of my student loans in a single payment.  I had enough to cover the amount in the same account it has drawn from for years with the affiliate bank (Mohela/SoFi).  The transaction was cancelled, I was not notified of the reversal.  This behind the scenes bullshit cost me a few more days

The shit my toddler can access from my “locked” iPhone is astounding.

That tax credit is not going to apply to a huge percentage of people that are going to be spending a lot on an EV.  High cost of living areas tend to be cities/suburbs where EVs make the most sense.  150k for a couple in those high cost of living areas is going to be surpassed pretty quickly.

Thats not the argument, valid as it may be. Currently people keep parking where they shouldnt be and arent being ticketed for it.

Because its the people (not) writing the tickets that are parking there.

I dont like the man but...  what?

Its wild to see how big of a font Racine was in the 1918 map.  I am well aware of the towns importance from growing up there.  Malted milk was invented there just 31 years prior to this map.  The garbage disposal was invented there.  One of the first automobiles built there.  J.I. Case, Dremel, TwinDisk, Insinkerator,

Theres a reason security people say the most important lock in your house is the door to the garage.  Once they are in your garage, they can take their very sweet time to get access to the house.

A slower speed for a scenic train ride sounds delightful.

I cant even imagine what life would have been like without the student loan debt (that I knowingly took on).  I’m 39 and just paid my final dime to my student loans.  The whole system needs to be overhauled so people dont have to delay their lives paying off a degree that takes them into their desired careers.

After finally getting Apple Car Play in my new car, I was pretty disappointed. Like, it just didnt knock my socks off or feel it was worthy of the praise it had been getting. Its aggressively “okay”. Its how all those systems should work. Unless Apple is charging a fee to GM (and I’m sure they are), why take this task

They can definitely be lucrative if you stay long enough to accrue a lot, but in many ways you are correct. 20k RSUs sounds great right? 5k worth vest per year, cut in half for taxes. 10k earned over 4 years IF the stock didnt drop.

In biotech, the only thing I have really seen that has kept people from job-hopping is RSUs, and thats only after youve been there long enough to accrue a shit load.  If you are job hopping, you arent there long enough to accrue too many so it doesnt really hold you back.  The title and pay increases are usually much

Whatever. Fine. I’ll drive the base model and if I want an upgrade I’ll go to the app. ANYTHING than going through their dealers.

COVID absolutely hit my 09 Escape Hybrid.  The daily driving to maybe weekly, the hybrid battery responsible for a lot of the acceleration would drain and until it was charged up with some braking, it would essentially be in limp mode and be very very sluggish.  Once we were back to daily driving we didnt see this

Landlords are increasingly NOT a person.

If that is truly the case, then battery recycling ought to drop the prices of your now 10 year old batteries and with the money saved from regular maintenance and fuel costs of an ICE and Id think you still come out pretty far ahead.

I will be in that second category whenever I get mine.  Charge it up at work, power my home with it at night.  The days I stay home, my solar can charge it up.  This is the future that I want.

My 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid is still on its first battery at 245k miles. It handles low speeds and assists with acceleration just as well as it did when it was new. Not a direct comparison, but whoever made the battery for Ford in 2009, the technology has only become far better over that time.

Are you kidding me? Lol... GFCIs are prone to wear and tear. Constantly tripping means they no longer can handle the changes in current as effectively. A quick internet search shows that I am correct based on countless articles. So, ya know, dismissed!
