I just paid off the remainder of my student loans in a single payment.  I had enough to cover the amount in the same account it has drawn from for years with the affiliate bank (Mohela/SoFi).  The transaction was cancelled, I was not notified of the reversal.  This behind the scenes bullshit cost me a few more days…

I will be in that second category whenever I get mine.  Charge it up at work, power my home with it at night.  The days I stay home, my solar can charge it up.  This is the future that I want.

My 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid is still on its first battery at 245k miles. It handles low speeds and assists with acceleration just as well as it did when it was new. Not a direct comparison, but whoever made the battery for Ford in 2009, the technology has only become far better over that time.
