Youd think hauls like this would be perfect for battery swapping instead of a driver waiting for charging, even if that time is used for mandatory resting.  Still its a great start and I applaud it.  Getting their new toy and throwing it on the road must have been exciting.

I would trust a semi on long hauls more than a car. The vantagepoint of the radar/LiDAR/sonar/whatever the hell they will use will be quite beneficial. All this I am thinking for long stretches of freeway though, not through cities when a full time human driver would take over.
