It sounds crazy but it’s true. The controls are just super comfortable and responsive, it adds a dodge button that surprisingly doesn’t seem out of place, it supports local co-op, and can be played solo (and co-op for that matter) without an internet connection.

I thought that at first (my experience with it was terrible especially when enemies became overpowered and you couldn't escape them) before but it became one of my favorite features in RE6. A game like Doom could totally have it work well.

Awesome! This is like my favorite... Game mode? Is that what it is when you’re the main character and the other players are the invader?

I’m fairly certain it would be level based. Largely because of Arcade Mode as well as the fact that most Dooms had played like that in the past, excluding maybe 3?

To be honest I’d prefer a full MMO over Shared World. Shared World is such a half measure that it seems to bring all the bad parts of MMOs (usually on the server side of things a la connection errors and server maintenance) with none of the good parts (dynamic world and economy, massive player load, etc)

If it’s even F2P to begin with.

shared-world action-RPG”

Yeah but I’m talking about the public attitude here. Before people complained about the notion because they already had Steam, but now people are on board... which means they’re looking for an alternative to Steam. Really, this means there’s merit to what they used to do, and not so much what they’re doing now.

You know, it just occured to me. A couple years ago, another digital storefront for games (uPlay, Origin) would have been met with disapproval (“Why do that when we already have Steam?”), but now we’re at a point where the selling point for a digital storefront is basically “it’s essentially Steam” and it’s met with

Probably not when playing Doom, though.

Would you believe the video editing is a passion project / hobby?

Two comps, actually. One laptop for the videos, and the other a gaming rig.

Sorry, not Overwatch, just co-op games like Warframe. But sort of, largely I use AutoHotKey and sometimes the mouse. Mostly because the first pass of editing is marking where I need to make certain changes and the rest is cutting dead air and mistakes, so I take that time to play video games at the same time.

Heh, I’ve actually been doing this for a while since I used the other hand to edit videos. Gotten surprisingly good at it but ofc can’t play competitive games.

I tend to have something of a controversial opinion over on TAY and a majority of the time people who have disagreed with me have often had discussions. One example was an article where I criticized The Force Awakens, of all places! There are a lot of people just here to waste your time, but it is a fact that there

This argument is seriously misguided. Yes the developer definitely has more experience than the consumer in the practice of making video games, but they’re not omnipotent. Like any professional, they make mistakes. All the time. There have been countless games that didn’t have features that were added later solely

But assuming that they know literally everything about it is also deaf and misguided. Professionals make mistakes all the time, and when you’re dealing with something that even the gaming industry has not really grasped the full potential of (such as branching narratives) it’s not condescending to assume that maybe a

Lesser known but one of my favorite endings was in Soul Sacrifice. Can’t really talk much about it without spoiling it, but it’s interesting in that it’s very cyclical in nature without feeling like a waste of time? Essentially you get to choose between saving or killing a certain individual who caused you torment,

For the longest time, Steam’s built-in chat functionality has not been what I would call good.

They do look considerably different, but in Leon’s case I actually kinda see what they’re going for. After 2 Leon became too much of a hardcore badass despite being over his head in his first game, so a softer face seems to be them trying to evoke that feeling again.
