YouTube has amazing content creators but also a vast amount of attention-seeking, abhorrent content creators.

You’ll never see “TONY ALMOST GETS ARRESTED FOR WHAT HE DOES THIS WEEK!!!” on an episode of Acoustic Life’s ‘Acoustic Tuesday’ podcast, you can bet on that.  

These kinds of people make me hate youtube. Which is sad cause there are some actually really good people on there making excellent content. I appall systems that reward stupidity.

Yep. Hell the loan officer probably doesn’t even consciously think he’s making it about race. But if it had been Steve not Sam, with all other numbers the same, he would have had the loan ASAP.

Anyone else feel that whatever connection it has to future MCU projects (other than the ascension of Florence Pugh), would just be some disconnected post-credits scene anyway?

See, I saw the “oh, there’s this five-year gap in your financial history, sorry” as exactly the sort of thing an institution would use as a “formal” excuse when really they just don’t wanna give the loan.  Especially in America, and in situations where race and class are in play but the loan officer wants to pretend…

I thought the wanda thing just kept her from speaking or waving her hands. Hand waving seems to be the key to magic in the MCU.

I gotta say, if Steve Rogers had walked into that bank, they’d have given him a loan. 

When exactly have they not killed in the MCU? All the way back to the first film.

While lack of income may make it easier for the bank manager to deny the loan, the legacy of the real world USA would suggest that we cannot ignore the dynamics race plays in the interaction (and I felt the subtext of the scene supported Germain’s interpretation).

Even if the banker himself is not explicitly denying…
