I agree with DragonsDaughter that we hear about evangelical beliefs all the time, and that they are tremendously supported in our society. I think the disconnect comes from that privilege being shattered, when you move from your safe haven of believers to a world that does not believe what you believe. Then, perhaps,

“Evangelicals like feedback more than any other group of people I’ve come across...”

I make a lotta soup and I go through a lot of bay leaves. I love them. Subtle, a little spicy/citrusy/good. My partner shares the ‘bay leaves are bullshit’ opinion, but IMO anybody who thinks that is using some ancient dusty shit that’s been in a cupboard for like 2 decades and has no flavour left. Bay leaves are why

Christianity in this country has always, from the very beginning, had a huge persecution complex, regardless of the amount of actual power that they hold in the community or their proximity to people actually being persecuted. The idea that it is strange for people in the “mainstream” to be out and proud about their

“It is rare to hear someone in mainstream media acknowledge that they are glad to be or have been evangelical, even though about a quarter of Americans are evangelical.”

Captain Obvious, strikes again!

Women have been harassed for being women since the dawn of time. But sure, we’re super surprised it happens online too.

Two observations:

I’m reminded of the Pilgrims. They came to the Americas fleeing religious persecution, but they didn’t want freedom of religion for everyone, they just wanted it for themselves. Quaker or Catholic? GTFO.

I wouldn’t call you irresponsible, since you were using birth control that worked for you.

Did you know....

No isn’t hard to understand. The trend of “oh boys will be boys” is the problem. As a dude who has been rejected several times and is still friends with many of the....rejecters (sp?) it’s not that big of a deal. Have a drink, play a game, go on a run, fuck yourself, it’s not difficult.

Or so I thought....

And yet, somehow, even dogs can fucking learn to understand it.

Obviously this isn't getting through but I'll say it. If a woman rejects you, you don't get to stab her, throw acid in her face, stalk her, terrorize her, or rape her. No is a hard word to understand, apparently.

And that being pregnant for 9 months and then giving your child up for adoption is as easy as buying a loaf of bread, too.

Anti-choicers often insist there are plenty of homes eager to adopt these babies... ignoring the fact there are half a million surplus kids now floating around in foster care. “Oh but they want infants!” Nice, clean, healthy, white infants with no substance abuse issues that haven’t already been screwed up by the

Don’t forget to mention that they seem to think that adopting a child is as easy as buying a loaf of bread.

They didn’t say that Google searches show an accurate picture. It’s an estimation. They mentioned that abortion clinics are searched 3 times more than abortions are performed in clinics. To completely write off the Google estimation you’d have to come up with a reason other than that women are self inducing abortions

I had a feeling this was happening. Limiting access to abortions doesn’t make them go away. Instead it goes underground and becomes even more dangerous and stigmatized.

We are seriously this close to living in a Hand Maids Tale..... I should go out and buy a red habit......
