I like the current one better, too. But they might use that one to show he joined the Avengers. Also to sell more toys, of course. ;)

Her movie isn’t until 2019, and is most likely an origin story, so if she appears it’ll probably not be a huge part. :(

I doubt the Wakandan army is thati nexperienced. They have a complete monopoly on the rarest & most valuable metal on the planet; their isolationist stance must be backed up by some big guns, or they’d have been invaded long ago.

Of course he does, they have to sell more action figures and Halloween costumes.

Scholastic is alluded to here, and I feel like that could use some elaboration. I think a lot of folks don’t know that Scholastic is the #1 biggest publisher of comics in the US, outselling both DC and Marvel. And the target market for their books? Elementary school girls.

I would like a smaller home, because cleaning 1200 sq ft is more hassle than it’s worth for 2 people. But I would not like a 200 sq ft home either, especially for 2 people. Maybe a cute 700 sq ft townhouse.

That’s a good point. I bet there are a lot of ones with random decent photos that some people actually want to buy, like cats or flowers. I don’t know what Amazon does, if anything, about products that never sell anything.

“IF the images on the Amazon item pages are rendered and sold before the physical product is actually made”

They’re custom printed on demand. There’s not really any in stock, but they’ll make as many as you order.

I can imagine a medical practice or pharmacy wanting something like that as decor (though they’d probably prefer a smiling photo). I can’t imagine who’d want it on their cell phone though!

That’s true. If he’d missed the reference but said something intelligent-sounding off the cuff like “thank you Mr. Aldrin. Yes, this program will allow us a glimpse into the infinite expanse of the universe”, it might have even come across as amusing & charming.

The foundations of this long predate Trump, too. The propaganda of Breitbart, InfoWars, WND, Limbaugh, Glenn Beck etc has been working for years to foment resentment, fear, and authoritarianism. I’m reminded of what Goering said at t the Nuremberg trials:

I dunno about jail, but certainly to find any excuse to remove them from the voter rolls.

Usually even if they don’t require ID at the polling place, they require ID to register. In Maryland, they don’t require ID to vote, but the poll workers do ask your name, DOB, and home address. It seems like it’d be an awful lot of work to memorize all that just to impersonate someone and vote one extra time in

A Muslim lady I know told me a while back that Under Armor has started selling a moisture-wicking hijab. I bet those are selling really well in Iran these days.

Unfortunately, the east coast of the US is one of the few places on Earth that is actually being cooled by climate change (as I understand it, it’s because the Polar Vortex in the Arctic is shifting and sending more cold air our way). So I wouldn’t hold my breath for that.

Unfortunately, an awful lot of Americans are basically bigoted, ignorant, selfish trolls. They hold fucked-up opinions, hate having to be civil to others, and feel like they’re “oppressed” because mainstream society rejects and criticizes their views.

It is funny, but to be fair (as much as one can) - he’s a 70-something out-of-touch rich narcissist who clearly hasn’t taken an active parenting role in his kids’ lives. When would he have seen Toy Story?

I think the color scheme fit the grim setting (WB could really learn a lesson from this, about deriving grimness from the setting rather than from the protagonists personal angst), but otherwise, I totally agree. They could’ve cut the boss battle in half(or less), and had a better AND cheaper movie.

The fact that a WWI movie that included depictions of PTSD, trench warfare, somebody getting their leg blown off, and chemical warfare against civilians, was the “fun and lighthearted one”, realllllllllllly says something about Zack Snyder.
