Yeah, Iâve known some Korean immigrants who have Opinions about black people. Itâs possible this was an honest mistake, but itâs also very possible that it totally intentional.
Huh, I actually donât know. It was the case before he went into office, but I havenât checked in the last week.
EU citizens donât need a visa to come to the US on vacation, no, just a passport.
Also, another easier option would be to radicalize EU citizens. You donât need a visa to travel from the EU to the US, just a valid passport. Having a terrorist impersonate a refugee from Syria would be like the hardest possible way to send a terrorist to attack the US.
Also, the SB shooterâs wife was from Pakistan and the Chattanooga guy was from Kuwait, so this ban wouldnât have applied to either of them anyway.
Yes, all the âbad dudesâ would have ârushed inâ next week to apply for a refugee visa, so they can come to the US after 2 years of heavy vetting by multiple agencies...... okay there dude.
I know an immigration lawyer who went to one of the airports to help out. He reported that CBP is siding with the administration over a judgeâs order, and mentioned something about the state National Guard had or was going to come out and force customs to comply with the judgeâs orders.
People were literally standing in front of his house chanting âno hate, no fear, refugees are welcome hereâ, and âhands too small, canât build a wallâ. Thatâs a little harder to manage. đ
The one in DC wasnât really unplanned. Just planned at the last minute, on Facebook. The group that organized it announced it on Friday and it was promoted by word of mouth. While they didnât get permits, the cops clearly knew about it and blocked off Pennsylvania Ave from traffic si we could march on the street.
Or have a generic sign- saw a couple like âstop doing unconstitutional stuffâ in DC today. đ
Did you see the sign that said âsee you guys next weekâ?
I heard about this from an Iranian-American woman I know who has a family member who is in this situation, but hereâs a couple articles:
For some reason I thought he was dead and that you were joking.
Youâre not. Permanent residents who were overseas when the order went into effect are being denied reentry into the US.
Not only refugees are being turned away, though that is very tragic and unfortunate. US permanent residents - green card holders - who are currently overseas are also being turned away and told they canât come back to the US. They canât come back to their home where theyâve lived for years, where they have a job andâŚ
WMATA has decent service, but it doesnât really make up for the difference in cost of living between DC and even, say, Frederick, let alone âmiddle Americaâ.
1. Yeah, thatâs a thorny one.
