Please try reading some credible news sources (e.g., not Breitbart) in the future, before you make yourself look like an idiot again.

There are 7 specific countries whose citizens are being banned for a minimum of 90 days. Those countries are: Iraq, Iran, Syria, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. Trump has said that Christians from those countries will be exempted from the ban.

Yup, ISIS is reportedly celebrating this ban and posting about it all over their social media. They’re very happy that the US president is publicly expressing disdain for Muslims, and that their victims in Syria and Iraq will have a harder time escaping them.

The 9/11 hijackers were from Saudi, UAE, Egypt and Lebanon. The attack was planned by al Qaeda, which was based in Afghanistan and later Pakistan. How many of those countries are on the “ban” list? None.

EU citizens don’t need a visa to come to the US on vacation, no, just a passport.

Also, another easier option would be to radicalize EU citizens. You don’t need a visa to travel from the EU to the US, just a valid passport. Having a terrorist impersonate a refugee from Syria would be like the hardest possible way to send a terrorist to attack the US.

Also, the SB shooter’s wife was from Pakistan and the Chattanooga guy was from Kuwait, so this ban wouldn’t have applied to either of them anyway.

Yes, all the “bad dudes” would have “rushed in” next week to apply for a refugee visa, so they can come to the US after 2 years of heavy vetting by multiple agencies...... okay there dude.

I know an immigration lawyer who went to one of the airports to help out. He reported that CBP is siding with the administration over a judge’s order, and mentioned something about the state National Guard had or was going to come out and force customs to comply with the judge’s orders.

People were literally standing in front of his house chanting “no hate, no fear, refugees are welcome here”, and “hands too small, can’t build a wall”. That’s a little harder to manage. 😉

The one in DC wasn’t really unplanned. Just planned at the last minute, on Facebook. The group that organized it announced it on Friday and it was promoted by word of mouth. While they didn’t get permits, the cops clearly knew about it and blocked off Pennsylvania Ave from traffic si we could march on the street.

Or have a generic sign- saw a couple like “stop doing unconstitutional stuff” in DC today. 😁

Did you see the sign that said “see you guys next week”?

I heard about this from an Iranian-American woman I know who has a family member who is in this situation, but here’s a couple articles:

For some reason I thought he was dead and that you were joking.

You’re not. Permanent residents who were overseas when the order went into effect are being denied reentry into the US.

Not only refugees are being turned away, though that is very tragic and unfortunate. US permanent residents - green card holders - who are currently overseas are also being turned away and told they can’t come back to the US. They can’t come back to their home where they’ve lived for years, where they have a job and

WMATA has decent service, but it doesn’t really make up for the difference in cost of living between DC and even, say, Frederick, let alone “middle America”.

1. Yeah, that’s a thorny one.

“White pride” is a code-word for “white supremecy”. “Whiteness” isn’t an ethnicity, it’s a social construct created in the early/mid 2oth century to unify Americans who come from different European ethnic groups, in order to maintain a white majority in the US.
