My day has been distinctly blah. I felt productive this morning, but now I just want to hit F5 on the Criterion Coming Soon page all day.

Fun? No. Picked paint colors. The painters are coming on Wednesday and will be living in my house for the next week. Add to that the movers are moving us into the house next Monday, and I'm going to be a big bundle of nerves for the next week. I hope to consume pop culture again after Thanksgiving, but nothing until

Lockboxing!

I believe you mean Brock Samson

Fuck my landlord. I got someone to take over my lease, to pay $100 more a month than I was paying, with no breaks in the lease, and he refused. He was "nice" enough to only be keeping the last month's rent and security deposit to let us leave the lease, but fuck this guy.

I tried Grand Marnier for the first time this weekend. I didn't realize it was orange flavored, so that completely threw me off. I wasn't a huge fan, but I could see myself loving it if I had a bottle and a month to slowly get used to it.

Clearly you are not from the great state of Massachusetts, where we also have Patriot's Day to celebrate the Battle of Lexington and Concord. It's a good day for sitting around and watching people running 26.2 miles.

Thank you for introducing me to the term "undercut." Never heard it before, but it's a terrible hair cut and now I know how to refer to it.

My weekend was pretty slow. Just moving things into MY NEW HOUSE!!!! I became a property owner last Monday, so I've been slowly moving things in over the past week or so. Also, making small upgrades to prevent the remote chance of terrible things happening (dryer lint fires are now a much less likely to happen).

And imagine what it must be like to be a Colts fan and go from Manning to Luck. That's just insane.

Ha ha! Dangly parts!

I thought Jackson Publick voiced him after they couldn't get back Colbert?

WE HAVE TO GO BACK

Have you lost your marbles?

If you're talking about people who actually know who Altman is, you're going to get Short Cuts before you get something like Secret Honor or Brewster McCloud. It may not be a Top 5 in recognition, but I think it would be solidly in the Top 10.

Point taken, though I think that would argue for the movie being overrated if you don't think it deserves the prestige of a Criterion slot. I don't think anyone who looks at Criterion says that any movie there is underrated, unless you're talking about something like Chasing Amy.

Short Cuts can't be underrated if it's in the Criterion Collection. And I've never heard anything bad about it. It's just a really good movie.

Am I the only one who looked at that screenshot and thought Antichamber sequel?

I loved You're the Worst for the most part, but the Lindsay storyline about fearing you're not mature enough for a relationship before learning your fears are justified were what felt awkward. Is Married similar to that plot? Cause I was hoping it would be a more vulgar version of Everybody Loves Raymond.

Binge-watched all of You're the Worst with the wife, which really is a terrible thing to watch if you're married for only a year and a half. Also Eraserhead, which is a terrible thing to watch if you're contemplating having children. So what I'm trying to say is that I made some really good choices this weekend. And
