So... that’s my car. Sold it about two years ago. I daily drove it for about two years prior to that, but didn’t have anywhere to store it when I went to a newer car.

I love those trunk-embiggenator things on 2CVs. It’s a really clever solution that I don’t really think I ever saw in other car. There’s these weird aftermarket conversions of Volvo 440s done by a dutch company that replaced the hatch with a fibreglass roof-elongator using the factory hinges, and the same thing was…
If I were in the market for a luxury crossover of this age I would look at a Lexus RX 350 first unless I really wanted something German and/or diesel. Less likely to break as often and cheaper to fix when it does.
That’s more like a $3,000 car.
Build ships in non-US shipyards? Fuck you!
It doesn’t matter why it sucks (except as a matter of curiosity, which would be totally good to put in the video don’t get me wrong). Mercedes is selling it as a passenger van, so it competes with other passenger vans. Whether it sucks because it’s a half-assed job of converting a cargo van to passenger duty, or…
It’s one of his quirks and features.
I don’t think its that he doesn’t get it, its more that he’s comparing it to what it attempts to be versus the competition, and is pointing out why this sort of thing doesn’t work.
He doesn’t seem to understand that it’s a commercial cargo van with seats throw in it. I’m not saying that makes it good, or that justifies the price, but that’s why it sucks.
It’s obvious I am in the minority here, but I like it. I voted NP assuming it is as good as the seller says it is. I have always liked the look of the hornet, and sticking it on top of a M seems like a good way to get the looks without actually having an AMC.
When I saw the header photo I thought this was going to be a W12 Touareg
Imagine if the industry had spent the last decade developing a modern sales model that didn’t require hours of in-person up-selling and paperwork, instead of lobbying for legislation that required it.
Nah. You got a lot more rust here than just a patch over the passenger rear wheelwell.
For some reason this reminded me of a Friends episode where Monica (or Rachel) met the hot guy from high school they used to crush on and went on a date.
Not only is it the same price, it’s also not the SOHC 4.0. OHV or 5.0. First year SOHC with 4x4 means 4 timing chains (with 1 buried under the cowl) and all of them love to eat their plastic guides every 80-100k mi.
That’s not entirely wrong. People with kids are naturally biased towards being overprotective, consciously or not. Emotion does not lead to good decisions.
Front facing, ‘cause motion sickness.
Not everything needs 300hp. My car has less than 300 hp and can more than scoot when I get on it. My wife’s car has ~150hp and rarely do I think it needs any more than that.
CP just for putting this at the end of the ad:
This truck was built for stupidity. People who bought this new are the same types who wear Oakley “Thin Blue Line Edition” sunglasses, and refer to sex in very aggressive terms. They don’t make love to a woman. They crush some pussy. They pound some poon. They slam some ham.
