He has 4 of the 10 highest-goal seasons since he entered the League. The only other player with multiple appearances on that list is Kovalchuk, at 8th and 10th.

No, I get the point. It’s just a stupid one. If the newsworthy fact is the existence of the dossier, you can report on the existence of the dossier. Republishing its contents without independent corroboration is just thinly-veiled cover for essentially reporting them as true without having to take responsibility.
Hockey rules dictate that a team can never be down to less than 3 players, so when 3-on-3 OT was instituted the power-play rules were tweaked to give the offended team an extra man rather than put the offending team down a man.
According to the article I linked earlier, “[i]t was originally generated as part of opposition research by anti-Trump Republicans and then shopped by Democrats.”
My understanding is that the two-page document is a summary of the dossier, which in turn contains no content that has been verified by an intelligence agency.
The documents are real, and that’s what BuzzFeed reported on.
This is the opposite of true. The dossier is very much unverified.
Other than the fact it’s, y’know, not that at all.
Except that it’s an unverified dossier that was included in an intelligence report as an example of disinformation, not an intelligence report in and of itself.
The truth of the claims in the dossier has not been verified; what has been verified, by several other outlets, is that this dossier exists, and has been known to exist for some time, and contains the claims in BuzzFeed’s reporting.
Not sure how you omit Cam Atkinson from the list of snubs. Tied with Voracek in points but with 19 goals (tied for 6th).
There’s no cap, but each team gets at least one player. Considering the metro forwards Phil has a strong argument to bump (Hall, Tavares, Simmonds) are all the sole representative of their team, it’s not clear how you would fit him in.
Short, to the point, and gratuitously embarrassing to DB’s everywhere.
The ‘93 win streak included OT wins, and was also made possible by the fact the NHL played an 84 game season. The season would have ended after game 15 under a traditional schedule.
The Habs’ first round opponent is almost certainly going to be the WC1 team, which based on current trends will be either the Caps or the Rangers. I would hardly call that “cushy” (though whoever wins that series is going to waltz to the conference final over whichever squad makes it to the second round out of…
You don’t have to criticize Under Armour, Tom Brady, and Sport Illustrated if neither Nike, Rex Ryan, or ESPN will pay you too, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t some other reason to write it up if your target audience is interested.
Wait this is tonight’s obligatory hockey post? Not Team USA* beating a vaunted** Russian*** squad for the chance to play for gold?
Wasn’t Monterrey in serious consideration for the Expos relocation? Did they just fall off the face of the Earth after that or what?
how exactly do you prove a “feeling” wrong?
I hate to tell you it’s tourists from Kansas rather than native New Yorkers packing your shows. You already perform for the deplorables.
