The only pgi designs I really dislike are the wolverine and the Battlemaster. That Battlemaster just needs those menacing and curves. And I’ll second that opinion about the new catalyst unseen designs by shining sword. They’re fantastic.

yeah. GURPS is easy. In fact, back in the late 90's, we used to rate new games based on a “would this be easier just to roll up in GURPS” methodology.
You want to scare some new players, have them play some Chartmaster.
