@jenniferhill: Ooh! For non-fiction, Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption by Laura Hillenbrand (she wrote Seabiscuit, too, also a great book.) My husband and I have been on a crazy WWII kick lately. You won't believe what these people went through and survived. Makes you feel lucky

@greenfaerie38: In the 'theoretical zero point' image, the mannequin head actually has the ponytail in its face.

Those pictures of you are both cute and hilarious! You should do regular beauty posts...

@comma_rogue: I used to use them before DivaCup. The difference is that they open up wider, rather than longer. And don't have an applicator at all, so less trash.

@the misanthropologist: Absolutely agreed! My local co-op even carries natural, locally sourced cotton version.

@It's.Not.Opposite.Day: I sometimes blow dry my whole body if it still feels damp from just toweling off after a shower. TMI!

Man, I knew the YouTube comments on this one were going to be something. And yes, yes they are.

@sorryimnotsorry: Oh God! That part was so gross. And now I'm dying laughing at your comment!

@SuicaLove: They also have awesome plain black coffee..

@ProfessorPlum: Don't forget "Livin' On A Prayer"! You'll bring the house down!

@Veruka_Assault: Yikes, you describe it perfectly. I was completely unprepared for it, having only ever lived in relatively temperate western Washington State.

@amphytrite: My dad always called those "Khrushchev" hats. He was born in 1922.

@Veruka_Assault: Kansas City is the coldest place in America I have ever been, bar none. And I lived in Vermont. It gets cold in the Midwest. Brrrrrr!!

Slightly OT, but I coincidentally had a very bizarre dream last night wherein I was with one of my best gay friends and his husband on an out of town trip. The salient part of the dream was that we had to pretend to be husband/wife so the hotel wouldn't throw them out.

@maggiethecat: Good question. I have no idea what the structure is at TechCrunch. I know she worked for LA Weekly and another SF pub (can't remember which one exactly) before taking the TC gig. She keeps getting hired, so she's doing something right in their eyes.

@ronniedobbs: @maggiethecat: I've actually been misquoted by this reporter. She's not the best grammar / fact checker in the world.
