Unfortunately, human nature is such that most people think they know everything — and the less they know, the more certain they are that they are experts.

Luna FTW.

Completely agree with you. There is no excuse to being consistently ignorant/uninformed about a subject any more. It’s fine the first time a subject is mentioned(especially if it’s a niche subject), but after that there is no excuse*.

Fair point. I have acquaintances who are like that and I put them in a different place in my mind than people who know exactly what they are talking about. It’s hard for me to deal with either though, especially when talking about the issues I said in my previous post.

Agreed on a lot of political talk(taxes, social programs, healthcare, etc..), but to me this stops when you’re talking about kicking out undocumented immigrants and whether blacks or gay people have rights.

Did anyone else watch the episode before it aired on HBOgo? I did not know they did that. I was able to watch it before the debate aired instead of after.

I think they will keep throwing it in there like they did with the two guests they focused on this past episode. The one guy is acting all nice and reserved with the hosts, but the other is so used to doing what he wants and being catered to that he stabs the treasure guy’s hand because he is annoying him. Or the guy

I can see that. His conversations with the hosts are always creepy to me. IMO, Hopkins is such a good actor that he is able to portray, without outright saying it, that he knows what the host will say before he says it. His conversation with the boy felt like he was steering the boy into a conversation that he wanted

I really liked how they took us through the process of how guests get dressed up and enter the park. To me that was a big step in answering a lot of questions from the first episode in how the world is set up.

As others have said, he is likely tenured so he won’t be fired. I wonder if he was actually drunk though. Did they test him? Disorderly conduct is largely a bullshit charge that police arrest people for because they are annoyed with them or just need an excuse to arrest the person. I can see him fighting the charge

I pretty much agree with this theory. The parents not really helping or pushing the police to solve the case tells me the parents were involved in it in some way.

According to the Barista, one of her coworkers was offered $200 for his Luke’s hat, which—other than “I’m Team Dean”—is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard, an opinion my new barista friend agreed with.

If he did kill her, it was most likely an accident- a fall, something like that-

They were already putting money into developing that area before the stadium came. It’s possible the stadium sped up some of the development, but the city was already focusing on fixing up that part. 700 million is a lot of money and could have been used to build tons of other stuff to improve that area and others.

Remember, the original 930 Club was very close to where the Verizon Center is today, so it was a sketchy area but was destined for gentrification no matter what. (what’s going to be interesting is when the *new* 930 Club has to close because its real estate taxes are too high because of all the development drawn to

For proof that stadiums alone can’t incite development binges, take in the utter lack of anything good ever happening to the area around FedExField, a massive venue built mere miles outside the D.C. border. The construction boom in my neighborhood, called Petworth, is astounding, and we’re nowhere near any of the new

I don’t see it that way.

If they are looking at Harvard, that likely means they are able to get into other Ivy schools, Stanford, MIT, etc...That’s the competition for prospective students looking at Harvard. So yes, this could be a negative view of Harvard in their mind if they are considering other elite schools too.

Do you know how long they’ve been working there? Maybe they’ve been there for years and have received little pay increase while Boston has gotten more expensive. Health insurance costs have greatly increased. Hell my company raised our two health care option premiums by 50% and 300%. If you find out all of your

It should be of zero concern to the employer what their employees can or can not afford to do with the money they are paid.
