Agreed. I’m tired of seeing the same people I’ve already communicated with show up in my results over and over again. I shouldn’t have to block each one individually just so they stop showing up. I feel like that didn’t really happen with OKC.

I’ve had the most luck on OKC. I’m currently using Match(subscription) now and their interface is just terrible. People I’ve communicated with in the past keep showing up in my search results with way more frequency than I’ve experienced with OKC. I shouldn’t have to go back to someone’s profile to block them from

I got exactly this too, until they moved it all into on catagory called PTO. They then took that away so now I get “unlimited” days off as long as they are approved by my manager. It’s kinda bullshit since it pressures people* to take less days off

I usually try to take Monday after Thanksgiving off so I can drive back home that day. DC traffic is awful on Sunday unless it’s super early.

All I read was celebrity/gossip/beautycare and equality and gender issues were specifically not listed. I guess they could come up in relation to politics, but there are tons of times when an article or news story has nothing to do with it. Agreed, otherwise I’m not sure how much longer I will be visiting Jez or

“I will say, Gawker writers are notoriously bad a taking any criticism (except those who work at Lifehacker)”

Yeah I just read that long Awl piece and queued up Dayna’s article. It seems like half their staff is gone now from the beginning of the year.

Yeah so weird. The BCO posts always have several hundred comments.

I watched Ex Machina recently and this article just creeped me out a bit.

1. Amtrak runs between major cities like NYC and DC. It may not be designed to compete with it, but in reality it is trying to compete with it. Why even have that line open if it’s not trying to compete with air travel? Just close it and save money. Most railroad lines in the US lose money.

Just go to a travel site and compare the cost of taking the Amtrak to flying there. Most of the time the air travel is cheaper. HSR only exists on that one line. It’s hard to tell if it would be successful anywhere else in the US.

I wasn’t specifying HSR in my comparison. I just said trains. The cost is still higher via train than it is air travel overall. Most of the other places that HSR operates have more of a culture using trains. The US does not. Hell, in DC, local rail(metro) is losing riders to driving. The cost is a huge factor in it.

I live in PG county and this is the first I’ve heard of it too.

It’s about the same using your $.60 per mile. 400 x .60 is $240. So why would someone go out of their way to take the train rather than just drive. There needs to be a real incentive to taking the train over driving for trains to really make a dent in our transportation infrastructure. Cars are too ingrained in our

Isn’t there an app called “How about we”? Sort of like a cross between that and Meetup.com.

I started using Match after OKC and Tinder and I feel like I have less success actually going on dates. I just turned 30 and am looking for something more serious which is why I switched. It seemed most people I met on OKC and Tinder were just looking for something casual. I am going on my first date with someone from

If you can find Jacks then give that a try. It’s not overly strong or sweet so its easy to drink a bunch without feeling bad after.

Not Your Dad’s Root Beer is tasty. I can only drink one without getting an upset stomach. I don’t drink pop much at all so that probably has to do with it.

I prefer Jacks over all other ciders. Its not too sweet so you can drink a 6 pack of it and not get an upset stomach.
