OMG.
OMG.
they would've found a way, believe. probably would've sent the priest away or started rumours of a contagious disease to delay the wedding & think of something
Aww. Don't worry, mixing up homophones is a less alarming error than basic addition :)
She worked there, but was not there the day of the fire. If she had been, I might not exist. It makes me crazy when idiots excoriate unions and government regulation, because unions and regulations are the reason that stuff like that doesn't still happen in the U.S. And lack of those things is why it does still…
My great-grandmother worked at Triangle Shirtwaist. I'm a girl, but if your husband fails the test, do I get dibs?
Uhm, 15 + 6 = white and gold. Y'all are all fucked up.
Yolk?
But is she single?
She might not be too far off the mark though. A girlfriend of mine was seeing a guy she'd met through work. He worked for the same branch of military service she did, but he was on the road and frequently out of the city, so for 4 months it was largely casual dating.
Apparently, the police had to be involved to mediate the return of all the gifts and stuff. Fascinating!
My guy is admittedly terrible at math, so I think I'll try this with history. [Mr. Syrah walks in the door] "Quick! Shirtwaist Fire! Go!" or something.
Do we think she literally sprinted outta there? If yes, this is much better than Julia Roberts not knowing how she likes her eggs cooked. If no, I still have mad respect for her.
HOLY SHIT YOU GUYS. MARK IS TROLLING. HE KNOWS HOW TO DO SIMPLE MATH. HE IS A TROLLING TROLL. ITS BEEN ESTABLISHED. NOW PLEASE STOP POSTING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN JUST SO YOU CAN FEEL SUPERIOR ABOUY YOURSEVES.
I guess She just put 2 and 2 together.
oh my god if you reverse the groom with the bride you are looking at the headline to my wedding announcement
Yeah! Also I'm impressed at how many people can't math!
Mark, I just wanna say that the comments on this post are gonna suck. You're gonna get about a zillion math corrections before people realize that EVERYONE ELSE HAS ALREADY MADE THAT COMMENT, STOP.
I'm always amazed at how educated women who can clearly follow their own minds react to arranged marriages - whether they're positive or negative. I think she handled it wonderfully.
