I lost my snarky grampa 2 years ago and i miss him everyday. But since then the mantle of grampahood has been placed on my shoulders and its a lot to live up to. But I hope to live up to the title of snarky grampa to the best of my ability. And to put your mind at ease, being a grampa of the world, I am ok.

My sister has exactly the congenital heart defect as his son. She’s in her mid twenties and has a successful career and is doing incredibly well. But it is something you deal with for your entire life. My sister had her third open heart surgery last year (there were 3 closed operations in between). My heart goes out…

Yeah, I remember being thirsty all the time as a kid too. Water bottles weren’t really a thing yet. Adults need to remember that they are really in control of children- young kids can’t take care of their own very basic needs without adult help or permission. Maybe it’s a pain for adults, but it’s not fun for kids…
