We also recently got a speaking tour by prominent anti-vaxxer Sherri Tenpenny cancelled! People contacted the venues that had booked her and complained. They all cancelled. Success! The anti-vax crew in Australia has exploded with rage, which is even better because complaints to regulatory bodies took care of them

Justice just discovered warp drive in it's arc across the moral universe today! May Scotty keep it together, down there in engineering.

this interview with the guy is one of the most amazing moments in journalism:

My thought on that is that it shouldn't take too long to suss out a guy's intentions in declaring himself a feminist. His actions will speak for themselves. Mostly how much he actually listens to women speaking about the topic.

This is also my experience. I know many good men who might not read bell hooks, but who practice active consent, respect boundaries, and listen more than they speak when women are discussing their experiences. The guy that walks in yelling about his reading list and his personal practices is the guy that I do not

I've seen this happen again and again - the only thing that surprises me is that the others in the group believed the victims in this case.

Any man who calls himself a feminist immediately sets off my creep alarms. I have never met a male "feminist" who wasn't a manipulative tool.

Yes, the part about listening more than they talk is the most important. I have encountered countless male 'feminists' who think that because they're feminists, they can go ahead and act as if they know more about feminism and women's experience than women do.

The problem is, I'm not sure where exactly the line should be drawn between "openly claiming to be a male feminist in order to normalize and encourage" and "announcing that you are a male feminist to brag and wear it as a diversity merit badge."

I have never experienced assault at the hands of a male feminist, but I have experienced Macktivism for sure. I only trust men who listen more than they talk about feminism (in a conversation with women), who are feminist in actions but not necessarily name. I look for nuances in conversation, reactions to real world

  1. Mix one part awesomely suspenseful trailer and 9 parts bald eagle fucking patriot porn and sprinkle in some casual racism.

WHITE MAN TALKING! QUIET EVERYONE! WHITE MAN TALKING!

The shit he wrote sounds no different than the same casual misogyny one hears every day. That's why I will never trust a man if I hear him say anything sexist. Men can whine about how unfair it is all they want, I make no apologies for being unforgiving if any man shows a red flag.

I'm currently not enjoying the traffic caused by my neighbors' Super Bowl parties. They are into the sportsball stuff in their own houses, so I just have to get over it.

I'm willing to bet that Eutopia's enemies - in other contexts - would be quick to tell you how much they value freedom and limited government intervention.

You know me, always trying to keep the science in scientifically based practices.

Thank you. We shouldn't take the advice of photos for medical tests. Not everyone needs a pap smear every year. It depends on your age and your personal activities/risks. I don't see this selfie thing as helpful.

"Fuck the 83 104 79 98 73 PctKKKK." Here, the ambiguity of online communication was not a problem.

A few minutes before the tweets started, I had gotten an email from Domino's, letting me know that my pizza order was ready, payable with cash upon delivery. I'd shrugged it off as a glitch in their ordering system. I hadn't ordered a pizza, and the address listed on the order was an apartment I hadn't lived in for a

Lippy. I haaaaaate when lipstick is referred to as lippy. That's my big takeaway from this post. Btw, my insurance company doesn't pay for Pap smears every year anymore because data? Idk.
