This is nonsense. I went to nursing school; we had unisex dress codes for environments were we would do patient care (scrubs) or meet with professional mentors or the public (program polos and khakis). For lectures in the classroom, we dressed the same as any other program's students (ie, in shorts and tank tops,

then why not just say that in the sign? Dress professionally, etc. This sign specifically targets women.

Sigh. The old "but, professionalim!" protest doesn't fly, either, because it is also based on the principle that for a woman to be "professional" she is required to cover up the parts of her body that are deemed distracting - or, unprofessional - by other people. It's the same sexist problem trussed up in fancier

Then where the hell is the sign for the men?

But that's not at all what the poster says. It specifically says it's distracting to the learning environment and is rather obviously gendered. Dressing professionally relates to everyone, not just women. Try again.

Keep on keeping on, but sexism is exactly what this is about. No matter how many times you throw out the phrase "professional" everyone is just going to keep pointing out that word doesn't even appear in this poster. Because these excuses you're dragging out have jack shit to do with a school telling women their

I understand being professional, but if that was the reason for THIS list, you would expect to also see things like jeans, t-shirts, sandals, ect. You know, other clothing items that aren't "professional" but it doesn't, it simply lists clothing items a female student would wear on a hot day.

Looking at boobs? Totally professional. Having boobs? Totally unprofessional.

Pray tell what should American Men be concerned with?

Then why does the list only focus on women. there are tons of things men wear that aren't professional and they're not on the list.

So why not have the signs be about professional attire instead of women's bodies being a distraction from learning?

Stop calling women females. It's fucking creepy.

Okay, i'm not going to try to even begin to address the majority of what you just said because it's so fucking stupid. But you know what I hate? When it's warm outside it is perfectly logical, acceptable, and normal to dress to be comfortable at that temperature. It is completely illogical and a colossal waste of

I know! Those American Women college students and their seductive leaning in their revealing tank tops...they are so unprofessional. And they stand in such stark contrast to all their male peers, who wear ties, jackets, dress pants, and button downs (or at least dockers and a tucked in polo on casual days) to class.

Yeah. It's important to look professional while going to do laundry, walk across campus, or grab brunch.

Go fuck yourself. Let's talk about how dudes dress.

Man sandals are gross, and you need to figure out how to cut your nails in such a way as to make your feet not look like you're half troll. Wearing shirts with

Damn right! Those poor clinicians, being exposed to whorey patients getting their slutty bits out...

Women being held responsible for the actions of men is one of the more sinister forms of inequality still left virtually un-frisked in our country today. What is easiest on men cannot be the arbiter of how women receive rights, privileges, or codes.

If the mere hint of boobs and butt is so distracting, how will these students/professors handle actual nursing? Because they're going to see more boobs, butts, and everything else than anyone ever wants to see.

OMG I SEE CLEAVAGE HOW COULD I POSSIBLY LEARN ANYTHING.
