GOG is really only on most people’s radar if you love older PC titles. They have a fantastic library of PC games all DRM free and all classics.

1) Which basic features require you to spend money?

After the whole paid mods thing and being required to spend money in order to use basic features of Steam I am glad to see some competition. Steam was great for a long time but like any large company at a certain point they stop caring so much about the customers and more about their bottom line/investors.
