In this modern era, with the engine rules as they are, spare cars are kind of useless (as we saw with Alonso last year).  So if you do have a tub laying around, you might as well stuff an engine in it and try and run the race.

I traded in my 2012 Cruze Eco, which was a great reliable car for a 2019 Bolt. The Bolt is maybe the best appliance for transport I have ever owned. It is best at the driving done by a normal person.
