You had me at "guileless stupidity"…

1) I had a good time watching it; but it was one of those an-hour-later-I-was-already-forgetting-about-it films.

I never said everything did. And who knows, maybe I'll watch and enjoy it. I never imagined myself watching a season of GIRLS and thinking it was pretty amazing TV. But that happened this year. Thanks for responding!

HandF, Black Snake Moan, an episode of The Shield, the pilot for Terriers…and a whole lot of less impressive credits.

Man, I loved The Shield. There was no such thing as an off-week in that series. Something was always going down. I feel comfortable saying no show before or since has made me that tense on a regular basis.

Who wants to see this? I remember trying those series (feels like there was more than one) about Escobar, and losing interest quickly. BLOW was lacking despite some game performances. Even SCARFACE, rollicking good time as it is, starts to wear you down with the mountains of coke and lethargy. Projects about the

"The Good Graces of Some Big Assholes"

Each week I've found things I liked and seriously disliked in this show, but it has been engaging enough to keep me going. I'm pretty tired of a few characters already (and I almost wish the show focused on just 1 or 2 instead of a dozen); the bearded guy is just too much of a dick for me to care about his trials, for

Fingers crossed the Venom film starts with Bruce's parents being shot at the theater.

I'm old, and that took me a minute to connect. Keep up the good work, Senor Fart Machine.

FFS, Horace and Pete was not a comedy.

Or maybe just make the robot/monster fighting parts (what you use to sell the film) as good as the teens connecting with one another. Because the action really stunk.

Talk about instant critical darling…an awful status with which to
crown a new filmmaker. I couldn't find any appeal to A GIRL WALKS…,
and so far THE BAD BATCH seems intriguing-but-hollow (I'm about a third
of the way into it). But I'll keep trying; films that aim for something
different and fail (me) are often more

I found this very underwhelming. And more than a little frustrating. But credit where due: that warehouse takedown scene was riveting.

I was going to make a similar comment but this place is top heavy with "they're the only reason I'd see that film" which I just don't get. I thought LEGO was fine, the JUMP STREETs were weak, and CLOUDY is a special little piece of fun genius. Having said that, I don't see how they're the *only* ones who could bring

Oh, how I adore David Patrick Kelly. His fleeting befuddlement was a pleasure.

I get that sexual assault plays a pretty large role in the Twin Peaks history, but the implications of what Dark Cooper may have done really made me uncomfortable in a way I would rather not feel for another 11 episodes.

There are elements of those two shows I have enjoyed/am enjoying, certainly, but for me they haven't been knockouts like the above.

Such a great first season. Really remarkable show, visually, and I love the darkness and humor strung throughout.

That's kind of a relief.
