Oooh fun. Cornell Labs (Cornell University) has Merlin Bird ID which uses Ebird apparently as a database but it looks simpler to use like the Audubon app. It’s my partner’s preferred novice birding app.
Kevin get’s my vote for frosted mini-wheats alone. Did not expect it to make an appearance. I just finished a box!
Hold on now. Water towers are great and all (Hey that one is shaped like an ear of corn!) but what about the large animal/mascot statues that seem to live in half of the small towns in the midwest? We’ve got bass, otters, deer, catfish, the Green Giant, and an anthropomorphic taconite pellet.
That’s awesome! As someone who works with a lot of artists something like that would be well used in my community.
The Duluth (MN) Public Library has a seed library to help people grow their own vegetables and asks that people let some of their crop go to seed so that they can be harvested and returned to build the quantity available.
Our Coop has specific areas in both the refrigerated and frozen sections for meatless-meats.
The local grocery store chain on the other hand has them in the “Health Food” portion of the frozen section.
I love all the calls of giving it to PP but why not give it directly to clinics that are under fire and struggling to stay open. PP may be the largest provider in the country, but they have funds and resources. Smaller, local/regional clinics, do not.
I’m surprised that no one said ground coffee or straight up peanut butter.
I feel like on a list they are the item past the jump. So much the absolute worst that they don’t even qualify to be in the same space as others. I hate them so much and when they start up in my smallish city this summer I hope the local punks throw them all in the lake.
From a pure breakfast item standpoint, bacon all the way. Breakfast sausage is fine, and can be great, while bacon is almost always great at breakfast. BUT, as a Midwesterner of Germanic heritage, I will never turn down a sausage, and as Kate points out, sausage possibilities are near endless.
This was one of the worst things to come out of the legislative session this year. Largely, this program was deemed an easy bipartisan effort. But, we are one of (the only?) states with a divided government at the moment and the Republicans dug in their heels on anything and everything. In the end, the legislative…
That was a fun walk down memory lane. I played that game for hours back in the day. One regret I have is that I let my younger brother keep all of the consoles when I went to college and will now never see them again.
I was definitely not expecting to see German potato salad on that list. Good choices all around y’all. When are you inviting us all to the cookout?
I wish! Our theaters only got lounge chair style seating a year ago.
I will second this and add that early morning matinees where you sneak in donuts are also an enjoyable experience.
That’s a real tough question to answer but I’ll give three BEST and one WORST for Duluth, MN:
Whatever happened to the wonder of a warm bubble bath?
I remember back in the day when most of these were the staple tap beers at any “respectable” bar that didn’t exclusively sell macro-swill. 1554 is always a treat when I can find it on tap.
Kudos for the Summit love!
I was getting stressed that pineapple wasn’t appearing on the board. And now I need pizza.
