This is the best the Legacy has ever looked if you ask me. I'd consider ignoring my preference for German cars and getting this for my next vehicle if Subaru makes the new Legacy look this good or better. Power train offerings will matter too, of course.
I've seen a couple particularly flashy ones here in the Milwaukee area and maybe a few less so. One's purple and the other is green and yellow. They are pretty rare though.
I've driven by it more times than I can count but I've never stopped to go inside. I might need to do that this weekend.
I like the oases along the Illinois tollway as well. I've stopped at the Lake Forest Oasis several times in the past few years. It's nice that you can grab some fast food from places like McDonald's, KFC, Panda Express, etc. and watch traffic drive by under you. The bathrooms are always clean and you can, of course,…
Hahah, that's it. I always thought that was hilarious.
Ahh, this reminds me of this one YouTube vid... I think it was a dashcam or something, but it was recorded from inside a car. There's some pretty heavy snow and the car with the camera in it is moving pretty slow but then out of nowhere an Audi (I think it was an Avant) comes plowing through and passes the car on the…
I'll admit that I thought the same thing when I was a kid and these trucks were still a relatively new thing to me, haha.
Coolest garbage MEN (or if I have to PC, people) for sure, but what about coolest garbage TRUCK?
BMWs or not, I think there's just a kind of experience that a high-revving NA motor provides. The gradual yet deliberate swell of power as it races towards its lofty redline and then shifting up a gear while screaming away. Ahh, I love the driving experience of it, haha.
There's something about a sweet BMW NA I6 that must be experienced to be believed. I didn't understand until I got my E92 3-series coupe. It features a MUCH tamer N52 I6 that produces a whopping ~230hp and ~200 lb-ft torque, but it definitely loves to sing all the way up to its ~7000 RPM redline!
Pay more attention.
If there was ever a reason to get a Smart Car, this it, hahaha.
Thing is, BMW had implemented the "tap turn signal stalk for 3 blinks" thing. My car is a 2009 and has it at least. I can configure it to flash once or three times. There might be more settings, but I set it at 3 because that's what I'm used to from my VW days.
Thank you for posting this. I think this may be simpler once it's all said and done, but it's the execution that seems to make it more complicated.
I generally try to pass trucks quickly, but then you get those lazy, unattentive, incompetent, inconsiderate drivers who will hog the left lane only going half to one whole mile per hour faster (or in some cases, worse, SLOWER) than the flow of traffic thus creating an obstacle that creates more congestion and safety…
How about adding in good ol' Le Mans starts? Everybody runs to their cars and takes off!
These cars aren't "cheap" brand new, but good used ones can be found relatively cheap. A catback at a minimum will get you some nice rumble. Older ones and newer ones all sound a lot like this as long as they have unequal length exhaust headers. Some don't like it, but I don't think 4-cylinder motors can sound much…
