I love the idea of writing to Jeff. The only package I ever didn’t receive from Amazon showed up a month later, all beat to hell. By then, Amazon had sent me another one of each item in it. The problem was they stuffed it full of too many things, some of them heavy, and the box ripped open. It was finally delivered

Amazon Logistics is very unreliable. My last fake delivery was with ONTRAC. I wasted about 45 minutes trying to track that down. Amazon said to wait a day. It magically showed up on my door, even though they don’t have approved access into our apt buildings.

I wish I could say that is a crackpot theory but you probably hit it perfectly right on the nose!

Yeah, seems like a dumb tactic to use on a company that probably has some of the most advanced logistics technologies available to them. Maybe Amazon is just putting up with this until they can completely replace carriers with their own drivers.

FedEx can go to hell. Recently they marked an important business delivery as undeliverable from their hub in the city next door, because the “business was closed.” At 10am on a Wednesday. The business is in my house, and I was alive and well working in the garage with the door open. In the end they couldn’t get their

They do exist, after all:

So, in order to avoid jeopardizing their contract, they knowingly falsify data in a way that Amazon, a technology company, can easily and obviously detect.

It’s just absurd. It’s a manufacturer issue as well. The dashboard backlight should NOT light up unless the headlights are on, or at the least, since most cars have automatic lights, if it senses it’s dark out and your lights are off, it should just FUCKING TELL YOU. It is just idiotic.

I’m fine with lanesplitting.

“the reason they weren’t working had nothing to do with the recall. In fact, the bulbs were just out”

that don’t wear their seatbelt are in more danger

In his defense it’s proven all across this group of sites that you don’t need any knowledge of the subject that you’re writing about here.

There are people who use their brights at night, even in the city. Then there are people who don’t turn on their lights at all because their car has LED DRLs. I’ve even told a couple of people their headlights are not on, just the daytime running lights, and they said “it has automatic lights so they’re definitely on”

The Honda Fit’s halogen bright lights are probably just as bright as your modern Xenons.

I once criticized David Tracy for bragging about turfing his landlord’s lawn. I got banished to the greys. Back to purgatory for you too I suppose.

Technically it’s a four-finger death punch. Five digits, though.

Damn that’s ugly.

It took over a year to get the airbag replaced because they did not have the part. I kept getting recall notices with the workaround being don’t let anyone sit in the passenger seat — for over a year? not going to happen.

Then just go to a different dealer (if possible). Dash cams can be pretty handy too at catching such things.

Yeah. Last time I had a recall fixed (door latch) they broke two other things in the process. Then they proceeded to tell me “oh that was already like that” and it’ll cost $400 to fix.
