Depends on how much lift you are talking. A lot of time a small lift (say 1-3") will improve handling. The lift kit will come with stiffer springs which reduce body roll, plus the wider tires (and track) offer more traction and stability. A lot of the “street racing” hype is trying to get a high horsepower car down an unprepped street/track. This equalizes the race somewhat as it turns it into a setup and driving race instead of just blank check horsepower.
