I worked on it as the cam op and gimbal tech. Rolls provided the Cullinan for a week, but nothing else.

It’s actually not the LEDs that’s the problem, even older LEDs use PWM for dimming, it’s just the easiest and cheapest way to dim an LED. PWM is what actually causes the flickering since it’s sending pulses of full brightness to the LED so you can see when it’s bright and when it’s dark if you do it slowly. The way to

You mis-read that. The artist tagged Volvo not the other way around. That’s also not how US copyright law works. As someone who has won a lawsuit from a company stealing my photos from instagram, Volvo is going to lose this so fast.

It is, I saw it cruising down the 405 in LA the other day, it made my lifted 4Runner look like a smart car.

What are you talking about? The city’s layout is ideal for biking, and there’s perfect weather year round. LA just needs cycling infrastructure and people will bike to work. I already do when I don’t need to lug a ton of equipment with me.

In all fairness the trunk one could very well be true. Picture cars you rent for films are typically very poorly maintained, I was working on a music video the other day and the only way the trunk would open was if you turned the key and started banging on the trunk.

I worked in the parts department at a toyota dealership at the time. Some models got the accelerator ground down slightly, some got a slightly differently designed accelerator pad, all of them got thinner floor mats. I simplified it to make it easy to understand.

That’s definitely not always the case. The Toyota “unintended acceleration” wasn’t a defect, it was owners stacking multiple floor mats even though it clearly states not to do that. The “fix” was thinner floor mats so even if people did what it clearly states not to do there wouldn’t be an issue. I would argue misuse

I saw this in full camo testing out at El Mirage dry lakebed on Tuesday, it was travelling in a convoy with a camo i8 and a camo version of what looked like the supra concept. unfortunately they were going so fast I didn’t have to take a picture.

I’ve helped restore numerous porsches and am currently assisting on a 930 turbo build done to singer levels and beyond, yes doing it yourself is difficult, expensive, and time consuming, but not impossible. If you do it yourself you’re not getting the carbon bits for sure, but you can get the finishes you like and the

That’s not true, they don’t make entire bodyshells I’ve visited their shop and seen how they’re made. It’s still a porsche body, just with a small carbon panel added to the roof, a small rear quarter panel section, and fenders of carbon. There’s a lot more original porsche there than you would imagine. Don’t get me

Haha I read the first comment as sarcasm. I attach all kinds of cameras on the outside of cars for work. Everything from cheap GH4s if it’s going on a crashing car to $60k RED weapons and Arri Alexas. Most cameras don’t mind dirt and fluids as long as you clean them well afterwards. On that note always make sure you

Using that inside a car isn’t going to work, it’s simply too large to have enough range of motion. A shoulder mount or hard mounting the camera to the car is your best bet for getting somewhat stable shots.

Fun fact my sister had one of those and she “loved it” when we finally managed to convince her to replace it with a RAV4 the first thing she said after driving it was just “Ohh...”.

While you’re right in that the electronic controls probably don’t kick in at this speed I’ve done a similar thing with all sorts of stiff sports car lifting the drivers side rear wheel going into and out of driveways. They’ve never gotten stuck even going incredibly slow, the 911 GT3 and AMG GT-S are the two newest

You mean friction? Centrifugal force isn’t a thing.

Wrong on the Pagani, but the Rolls Royce and Vector W8 were indeed the best cars on display.

I got to ride in an example with less than 2000 miles on it earlier this year. The door panel fell off when I gently opened the door. Classic ford build quality is real.

Have you ever driven a vintage one? That’s where the magic happens.

In all fairness it doesn’t really rain in OC so a roof would just be useless anyways.
