It seems like some of these bloggers just spend most of their time scrolling through twitter to find something to write a thinkpiece about. Giving these nobodies on twitter a platform in an article as if their tweet is somehow “gospel” is fucking weird.

I totally agree with everything you said, particularly about our educational system. However, the vast majority of us went through this educational system and many of us weren’t exposed to other cultures other than our own and we don’t treat some people like this. So I’m wondering if it’s a mix of shitty American…

I saw this and cringed, too...but I find that this shit happens with Americans in general. They’re just ignorant about other cultures and they think it’s all fun and games trying to “figure us out.”
