Happy for them, though NPR has lost a ton of people the past 5-7 years. We must protect Terry Gross!

I’ve seen some kids do the retro thing for the early 00's. Those were my high school years, so I do feel nostalgic, but it was not exactly a time of high culture or good things going on in the world!
There’s a great documentary on a water park in the 80's called Class Action Park which is both hilarious and nostalgic but also doesn’t mess around with how dangerous and full of neglect the decade was.
Not that I blame those 2 works I enjoy quite a bit, but the Boomers never got over the 50's/early 60's, and I think Reagan somewhat was a consequence to that.
Everyone laments today’s dating world but sheeit I can’t imagine what it was like to have to record yourself on a video for your local rental store, or answer classifieds. Or to have to open a giant encyclopedia to learn about anything new. Or to have 3 choices of beer
70's and 80's really had every genre running on all cylinders. Towards the end all that new coke eventually caught up to them all though.
Millennials also celebrated the 80's, at least the bad fashion from then.
I remember hearing about this on NPR, it was somewhat disturbing
Can’t say I’m shocked, dolphins have always been horny bastards
Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking more than Bob himself.
Yeah, the Ferengi get rehabbed quite a bit in DS9
Snyder gets no credit, and the Potatoes aren’t even in DC anymore.
Yeah that makes much more sense.
Auntie J, The Butterbeer is too cold!
Same here, I remember being floored with Bob Saget of all people telling the raunchiest version of the joke
Full House was definitely not good, but it was somewhat comforting, and a sitcom you could watch with small kids.
Also AFHV was all we had before YouTube. It was a Sunday family tradition.
Yeah my college brought him in, and he was pretty funny but clearly not over the Full House stigma. Gotta wonder if the Olsen twins were somewhat turned off from the Fuller House stuff due to all those jokes.
I remember the late 90's being brutal to Saget, he was a punchline example of unfunny wholesome comedians (Coulier deserves that much more than Bob) so he decided to prove them wrong with a vengeance. He also was supposedly pretty filthy before Full House.
Betty White joked that she’d outlive him. Surprised she didn’t.
